This week, the review department of Softpedia Games delivered long-form looks at the following titles: Icewind Dale – Enhanced Edition, which reinvents the classic title for a modern audience, Sneaky Sneaky, the Warlords of Draenor expansion for World of Warcraft, Venom Pinball,  Crowntakers, Way of Life for Crusader Kings II, The Witcher Adventure Game, Little Big Planet 3 and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

We also have editorials about the world of gaming, one dealing with the battle between FIFA 15 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 for the soul of football, another about new launches and their associated problems, and a third talking about gaming in time for Christmas.

The Gamer Diaries deal with a variety of games, including Dragon Age: Inquisition, Company of Heroes 2 – Ardennes Assault, and This War of Mine.

Seven days of gaming news

On Monday, Destiny players were affected by some region problems with The Dark Below and a leaked Windows 10 build showed some new app which links the Xbox One with the PC, just as Warhammer Quest was announced as coming to the PC in early 2015.

On Tuesday, FIFA 15 showed off the Ultimate Team Legends line-up created by Eden Hazard and we learned more about the Heists which are supposed to be added to GTA V Online.

At the same time, a new DLC called Lord of the Hunt was added to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Dragon Age: Inquisition was judged to be a game that should not appeal to completionists.

On Wednesday, Ubisoft delivered the much awaited fourth major patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity and BioWare also delivered free content for the multiplayer of Dragon Age: Inquisition, while a free content update was also implemented for The Sims 4.

Finally, Hatred was re-instated on Steam and Gabe Newell delivered a personal ability.

On Thursday, Halo: The Master Chief Collection got a new major update and we learned that a story-based take on Minecraft was being created by Telltale Games.

Also, the Steam Holiday Sale was finally introduced with some pretty big cuts and we found out that there’s a date for the Xbox One beta for Evolve.

On Friday, Halo 5: Guardians was offered to all those who are part of the Xbox One Preview program, while GTA V also revealed some cool holiday moments.

Blizzard suggested that gold farmers might be legitimized and Dark Souls 2 patch got some more details.

On Saturday, we saw a new trailer for Exo Zombies in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the developers talked about a Titanfall sequel.
