This week, the review department of Softpedia Games is delivering long-form evaluations for: Titan Souls, Tower of Guns, Mortal Kombat X, and Worlds of Magic.

The Editorials for this seven-day period talk about the coming battle between Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4 over the soul of the music game genre, the mix of innovation and classic gameplay delivered by Mortal Kombat X, and the way Legacy of the Void for Starcraft 2 is pushing the series forward.

The Gamer Diary series continues to talk about a variety of titles, including the newly launched beta for Starcraft 2, Legacy of the Void, but also about Bloodborne and Pillars of Eternity.

From Monday to Friday

On Monday, we were off, celebrating the second day of Orthodox Easter.

On Tuesday, Mortal Kombat X was launched with significant problems on the PC, linked to the way Steam downloaded the game.

At the same time, GTA V had issues on the same platform, most of them related to the Rockstar Social Club, which were solved via a patch.

Finally, World War Toons was revealed as a new multiplayer shooter with some cool virtual-reality elements.

On Wednesday, Visceral Games discussed the first major patch for Battlefield Hardline and the changes it would make, whereas Deus Ex Mankind Divided was revealed as being entirely ghostable.

On Thursday, a new app was revealed and it introduced Dark Souls 2 messaging to the real world, and November 17 was unveiled as the launch date for Star Wars Battlefront.

At the same time, a new trailer was offered for Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.

On Friday, Bungie talked more about the House of Wolves gear updates for Destiny, and the official gameplay video for Star Wars Battlefront went live.

Sony also confirmed that Journey was coming to the PS4 in the summer.

On Saturday, Star Wars Battlefront continued to get more details, with info about pre-orders on Origin joining a reveal about the 60 FPS that will be targeted on both Xbox One and PS4.
