This week, the review department of Softpedia Games is delivering long-form evaluations for titles such as: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the new Geralt-based open-world experience from CD Projekt RED, Interplanetary, and Invisible Inc.

We also have editorials about the gaming world, focused on the time that gamers need to invest in titles like The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition and on The Witcher 3 and its visual issues.

From Monday to Friday

On Monday, more details about the story of Halo 5: Guardians were revealed in Hunt the Truth, and CD Projekt RED talked about a new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that would be introduced as soon as the game launched.

Firaxis finally talked about a new expansion for Civilization: Beyond Earth, called Rising Tide, which is set to be introduced before the end of the year.

On Tuesday, EA Sports talked about the features that it will include in NHL 16, among which a focus on online modes, and DICE explained that the CTE testing environment for Battlefield 4 would be implemented on the Xbox One.

On Wednesday, Visceral Games offered more details about the maps and new content that will arrive in the Criminal Activity DLC for Battlefield Hardline, and a new Expeditions: Viking title was revealed, with some cool turn-based concepts.

On Thursday, Rockstar launched legal action against the BBC for the GTA focused Game Changer documentary.

Patch 1.03 for The Witcher 3 was also deployed on the PC, and CD Projekt RED talked about the visual downgrade for the title.

On Friday, more features for the Xbox One app on Windows 10 were shown off, Scarecrow and Batman were revealed in a new Arkham Knight video, and Blizzard delivered more gameplay from Overwatch.

On Saturday, 343 Industries talked about the update coming for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and a new video showed off the new content included in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
