Opera Software, through Helge Andre Gjølme, has announced earlier today, March 19, the immediate availability for download and testing of the Opera 29 Beta web browser for computers, supporting the GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Opera 29 Beta is the first ever release of the popular Opera web browser to introduce Speed Dial synchronization, which means that you will have the same tiles on all of your devices where Opera is installed and you are signed in into your account.

“Today, we released Opera 29 to the beta stream,” says Helge Andre Gjølme. “Now, you can easily sync your Speed Dial entries and open tabs between different devices. You can assign your own keyboard shortcuts. And, we added an audio indicator to help you find which tab is blasting sound.”

The Speed Dial’s look has been updated in Opera 29 Beta

The look of the Speed Dial in Opera 29 Beta has been updated with a new feature that allows users to easily change an entry’s thumbnail, simply by using the heart menu. Moreover, it is now possible to more easily access and manage Speed Dial entries from other devices via the bookmark manager. Also, it is now easier to access your history on Opera.

Additionally, users will now be able to see open tabs from other devices where he or she installed Opera directly from the start page, simply by clicking the Tabs button located at the bottom. There, you can see all the open tabs, from both the current device and from other device where you’ve used Opera.

Opera users will now be able to assign their own keyboard shortcuts

Another interesting feature in Opera 29 Beta is the ability to set your own keyboard shortcuts in the settings page for almost any command of the web browser. Just hit “Browser” on the sidebar, then click the “Configure Shortcuts” button under Shortcuts, and start adding keyboard shortcuts. More mouse gestures have been added as well.

Last but not least, it is now possible to see which tab is making noise, as an audio indicator has been added to the tabs that play audio. Download Opera 29 Beta for Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia. Keep in mind, though, that this is an unstable piece of software and it is not recommended for production environments.
