Bandai Namco Games has released a series of new videos showing various characters from the upcoming One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 in action.

The hack-and-slash game is being developed by Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors makers Omega Force, and is thus very similar in nature to those games. The developer has mentioned that gameplay will be similar to previous installments in the series but with a couple of refinements and improvements.

Players assume control of an overpowered character that proceeds to smash, bash and knock out hundreds of opponents, using a multitude of impressive moves and techniques.

A visually impressive game

The character showcase videos released by the publisher depict Luffy, Fujitora, Trafalgar Law and Donquixote Doflamingo in action, using their unique and wild arsenal of moves against the countless pirates on the battlefield.

The videos reveal some of the abilities that hit multiple enemies, including some special and very powerful moves with devastating impact and some impressive visual effects.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is coming to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita consoles from Sony and to PC, expected in Japan on March 26.

Bandai Namco Games has confirmed that a localization is in the works and that the game is expected to reach western markets sometime this year, around summer.
