Rdio, one of the best online music service, has announced recently that its Rdio Music app for iOS will get new social networking sharing features in an upcoming update, supported on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices. As such, users will be able to share music with their friends via popular social networking services, such as Twitter, directly from the application.

Three new sharing features have been introduced on March 17, which will be implemented in Rdio Music for iOS in the next update. The first feature is about the ability to share replies in a conversation with a friend. For example, when a friend shares music with you, you’ll have the possibility to reply and let him or her know your feelings or mood about that song.

“What’s more fun than enjoying your favorite music on Rdio? Enjoying it with a friend,” was stated in Rdio’s blog. “Sharing is a unique part of the Rdio listening experience, and with three new features we’re introducing, you’ll find even more ways to share the sounds you love with your friends.”

Introducing Smarter Sharing and Tweet the Artist

The second sharing feature to be implemented in Rdio’s app for smart devices powered by Apple’s iOS mobile operating system is called Smarter Sharing and will allow you to easily and quickly find friends to share music with. Simply press and hold on any song or press the new share icon on any station, album or playlist to find a friend via the integrated search filter.

The third and last sharing improvement for iOS is called Tweet the Artist and it promises to include the Twitter handler of the artist whose song you’ve just shared, on the respective tweet. Of course, this will work only if the artist has a Twitter account. Get the Rdio Music for iOS right now from the App Store and enjoy the new sharing features it brings. All these new sharing features were also introduced in Rdio for Web, and will come soon to the Rdio app for Android devices.
