While Mariah Carey is reported to have been hitting the bottle hard after her divorce from Nick Cannon first made headline news and her friends are worried she's close to a mental breakdown, her soon-to-be ex-husband isn't doing half as bad.
Friends confirm Cannon is “feeling great” these days, despite his rumored divorce
Friends quoted by the Mirror say that the TV presenter and actor has been “feeling great” and he's “happy,” despite the fact that his marriage has come to an end. In fact, he's already working on his next project, which is to manage Amber Rose's career.
The fact that his marriage of six years with Carey is going down the tubes doesn't seem to bother his entrepreneurial side, as Cannon is said to have already convinced Amber Rose to sign a contract with him.
Cannon is eager to start his bachelor life again
Cannon has also been boasting that he's picking up on his bachelor life again since he's split from Mariah, taking up singing, dancing, and clubbing again. Some sources would beg to differ that it was those exact things that caused Mariah to end their marriage, but since the divorce has not yet been officially filed, there is no way of telling what went wrong in their marriage.
Details of the divorce are muddled at this point, but it is believed that it was Mariah who asked for the separation after she tired of Cannon's partying ways. Insiders reported that she stayed back home for weeks, while he was out in Las Vegas, hosting parties.
Visibly distraught, Mariah was said to have employed assistants and bodyguards and sent them out to Nick's side to make sure he wasn't cheating on her with other women. She said that Nick was an OK guy, except from when he starts drinking, because “He does bad things when he drinks.”
Mariah is believed to have asked for full custody of their twin children, Moroccan and Monroe, as well as made Nick sign a confidentiality agreement, banning him from talking about the divorce in the media. This would explain why Cannon has failed to address the issue, apart from that one time he said on social media that he still loved Mariah.
