The third-person shooter is coming out at the end of October

Insomniac Games has released a fresh bunch of screenshots from the upcoming Xbox One exclusive third-person shooter Sunset Overdrive, showing some impressive visuals.

The new screenshots look a bit too good to be true, especially when taking into account the fact that the developer has already mentioned that the game runs in 900p resolution and at 30 frames per second on Microsoft's console.

Insomniac Games, however, has no qualms about the tech specs of the upcoming game, being confident that players will adore it even if it doesn't reach the native 1080p resolution that many developers and publishers use as a selling point nowadays.

In any case, the new screenshots show a wonderful world full of detail, and keeping the tone of the not-quite-serious plot of people being turned into monsters after binging on a new energy drink at a concert, as colorful and vibrant as a Disneyland parade.

The character customization options are similarly rich in detail, enabling users to mix and match a variety of different accessories divided into three major categories, mainstream fashion, that makes you look like a somewhat normal individual, street fashion, that makes you look like one of the cool kids, and costumes, that makes you look like a panda or whatever else you might be inclined to resemble.

Sunset Overdrive is coming out on October 28 in North America and October 31 in Europe, exclusively for the Xbox One home entertainment system from Microsoft.
