This is the fifth update pack for the stable Manjaro distro

The Manjaro Linux developers have announced this past weekend that availability of the fifth update pack for the current stable version of their acclaimed computer operating system, Manjaro Linux 0.8.12, bringing updated Linux kernel packages and lots of fixes for the Xfce and KDE desktop environments.

While the latest stable Linux kernel package supported in all Manjaro Linux 0.8.12 editions, including KDE, Xfce, and Net Install, is Linux 3.19.2 kernel, the Manjaro Update 2015-03-20 pack comes with the following LTS (Long Term Support) kernels: 3.18.9, 3.16.7.8, 3.14.36, 3.13.11.16, 3.12.38, and 3.10.72.

The latest Mesa 10.5.1, OpenSSH 6.8, OpenSSL 1.0.2.a, Clang 3.6.0, Oracle VirtualBox 4.3.26, Calligra 2.9.1, and manjaro-tools 0.9.7.2 have been included in this update, which fixes lots of issues with the Xfce 4.12 desktop environment, as well as with KDE Frameworks 5.8.0 and KDE Plasma 5.2.1.

In numbers, the fifth Manjaro Update pack brings 234 new packages and removes 224 from the community i686 (32-bit) repository, brings 235 new packages and removes 225 from the community x86_64 (64-bit) repository, adds 11 new packages in the core i686 (32-bit) and core x86_64 (64-bit) repos and removes other 11.

In addition, it adds 225 new packages in the extra i686 (32-bit) and extra x86_64 (64-bit) repositories, removing other 225 packages, and adds 10 new packages in the multilib x86_64 (64-bit) repo, removing other 10 packages. All the latest upstream fixes from the Arch Linux distribution, as of March 20, 2015, have also been included.
