Bungie confirms that it thrives on feedback, both negative and positive, as it wants data to help shape Destiny into the best experience possible via new updates, patches, and content.

Destiny was released on September 9 around the world for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms, delivering a pretty sprawling open world first-person shooter online experience. However, it failed to meet the high expectations of many fans and this resulted in a pretty serious backlash against developer Bungie and publisher Activision.

All feedback is great for the studio

However, Bungie confirms in its latest weekly blog post that it thrives on feedback and that both negative and positive reactions are most welcome, as they can be used to fuel the next wave of changes and updates coming to the online experience.

"Bungie thrives on feedback. Never feel like you need to stick up for us when you see someone expressing an honest opinion about our games. We’re harder on ourselves than anyone else," Bungie's Community Manager David Dague tells fans.

Listening to the community is vital for Bungie

Dague also explains that the studio is much more keen on seeing how the community reacts to Destiny and that working alongside fans and listening to their suggestions has always been the plan for after the launch of the game.

"We’re working every day to support what the world of Destiny has become now that you’re a citizen of it. Building those worlds wasn’t the end of our work, it was a first step. The real job is understanding the game through millions of fresh eyes, and reacting," he adds.

"Working with the community to make the game better has always been the plan. Part of that agenda means reacting to feedback. At the same time, we’re still striving to understand every obstacle that prevents any one of you from joining us in the Tower, and providing what you need to make the trip."

Expect more patches and changes

The Bungie representative concludes by saying that more patches are going to appear in the near future, as the whole team is listening to fans and is ready to make major changes to the Destiny experience so that everyone can have a great time inside the multiplayer first-person shooter.

The next major update was already detailed over the weekend, with Bungie confirming that big modifications would be made to the loot system and the Cryptarch mechanic, so that players are rewarded with more legendary items to boost their level past the 20 limit.
