The new update corrects PES and PRS power settings

Just now, NETGEAR has rolled out firmware version 1.0.0.32 compatible with its JR6150 and R6050 wireless devices, which resolves some issues regarding PES and PRS power settings, therefore improving wireless performance.

In addition to that, this newly released firmware package also updates the bootloader in order to fix an NMRP-related problem that didn’t allow restoring default settings when changing the region.

If you have been encountering these two issues, or simply want your router to be powered by the latest software version, then make sure the currently installed firmware build is at most 1.0.0.30, and save and unzip the downloadable archive.

Afterwards, log into the router’s dashboard (username and password required), go to Maintenance > Router Upgrade, click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly extracted “JR6150_V1.0.0.32_1.0.1.img” file.

Now, just click “Upload,” and wait for the new firmware to be transferred, and allow the router to do its job. You should also know that the 1.0.0.32 software upgrade process will be complete only when the progress bar fills up.

Moreover, bear in mind that during the installation you mustn’t terminate the connection between computer and router, and you definitely shouldn’t power off or restart neither of the devices. Doing so will not only crash the upgrade but also cause serious device malfunctions.

That being said, download Netgear R6050 Router Firmware 1.0.0.32 or download Netgear JR6150 Router Firmware 1.0.0.32 depending on which router you own, follow the aforementioned steps, and apply the new software on your device.
