14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at EA Sports might be more focused on the delivery of new content for FIFA and Madden NFL, but the company is still continuing to work on NBA Live 15 in order to improve the overall game experience and to make sure that the stats of the players included in the sim are as close as possible to those of their real world counterparts.
A new announcement from the studio, created in partnership with Synergy Sports, uses a range of data gathered from matches to introduce no less than 3,600 rating changes for a variety of players.
The EA Sports team states, "Just once in NBA history has a pair of teammates won the Most Valuable Player award in consecutive seasons. The Boston Celtics' Bob Cousy was named MVP in 1957, and teammate Bill Russell took home the honors in 1958."
Point guard Russell Westbrook from Oklahoma City might replicate that moment if he continues his solid run and manages to take the title from Kevin Durant, who is affected by injuries.
The player has managed to average a triple double 34.3 PPG, 11.4 APG and 10.2 RPG during his last ten games.
This means that his rating in NBA Live 15 is now 92 overall, and he is now the fourth best player involved in the basketball sim, following LeBron James, Durant, and Chris Paul.
Miami Heat player Hassan Whiteside is also getting a ratings boost to 80.
NBA Live 15 also has new jerseys and gets a mechanics tweak
Four new jerseys, named Thunder Pride, Phoenix Pride, Celtics St. Patrick's Day and Bulls St. Patrick's Day, are also offered, giving players some variety for their teams.
The development team also announces that it has eliminated box score errors and dealt with some online stability problems, while also fixing the offense coaches options.
NBA Live 15 has not managed to sell enough to threaten NBA 2K15, the leader of the basketball sim genre at the moment, but the development team has said that it wants to use the game to establish a solid base to challenge the 2K Games title in the coming years.
