The smartphone will be available for purchase on November 24

Huawei Honor 3C was launched almost a year ago in China. The smartphone is a weird mix of high- and mid-range features, which makes it a hard-to-miss device especially due to its low price.

Unfortunately, the Honor 3C sold by the hundreds of thousands in China and other Asian countries, but it never reached Europe or North America.

But that is about to change, as Huawei is determined to fix this problem for European customers who are looking for a cheap, but powerful smartphone.

Cheap and powerful are traits that you won’t easily find in a smartphone, though the gap between mid- and high-end ranges is closing rapidly.

That being said, Huawei officially announced that the Honor 3C, one of its most popular mid-range Android smartphones, is now available for pre-order in Europe.

The handset costs only £110 outright, which is about €135 or $170. Customers who pre-order the Honor 3C should expect to receive their devices beginning November 24, the date the smartphone should hit shelves according to Huawei.

Now that we know how cheap the Honor 3C is, let’s see what it has to offer in terms of hardware. Well, first of all, Huawei’s handset is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, a Mali-400MP2 graphics processing unit and no less than 2GB of RAM.

Even though the smartphone packs only 8GB of internal memory, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The only downside would be the fact that it comes with Jelly Bean on-board

Another positive aspect would be the 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. This high resolution is unusual for such a cheap device, so here is one of Honor 3C’s strong points.

On the back, the device features an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 5-megapixel camera that should capture great selfies.

Huawei Honor 3C is powered by a 2,300 mAh removable battery and offers a variety of connectivity options, including HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB2.0, GPS with A-GPS support, as well as dual-SIM capability.

One of the downsides would be the fact that Honor 3C ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, which is rather old considering that Google has already released version 5.0 Lollipop.

In this regard, Huawei Honor 3C is likely to compete with the Moto G, though Motorola’s smartphone has the advantage of being eligible for an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade which is supposed to arrive pretty soon. So, which one would you choose?
