Mortal Kombat X is one of the biggest launches of the spring season, and plenty of gamers are enjoying the new fighting title on home consoles at the moment, but it seems that the PC crowd is having some problems with the experience.

Some Reddit fans of the title have been complaining about crashes that happen at random moments, especially in the options menu, and about an inability to download all the files associated with the title.

Gamers have mentioned similar issues on Twitter and the official Steam page of Mortal Kombat X.

At the moment, the development team at NetherRealms Studios is not offering any fixes or workarounds.

Fans are speculating that the Mortal Kombat X problems on the PC are linked to the way the game is being downloaded, in chunks rather than all at once.

The idea is to allow gamers to access the initial stages of the campaign as fast as possible while the rest of the data is downloaded and installed in the background.

Unfortunately, the rest of the title is never added smoothly for some players, and the entire experience often crashes as a result.

Mortal Kombat X is also offered on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, but no major problems have been reported by those using the Sony and the Microsoft home consoles.

The development team needs to move as fast as possible in order to solve the problems or at least to give gamers the option of getting the entire title in one download.

Mortal Kombat X has ambitious DLC expansion plans

Warner Bros. and NetherRealms have announced that they are aiming to introduce new content to the title in the coming months.

Characters will be the main focus for the DLC packs, but some gamers will be uninterested in getting access to them if the game is not working properly until then.

Mortal Kombat X takes place 25 years after the most recent title in the series and has a bigger focus on interactions between combatants and the environment around them.

The game is also offering a story for each featured character and promises more emotion than previous entries delivered.
