Gameloft launched Modern Combat 5: Blackout last year in July on all major platforms, including Android, iOS and Windows Phone. However, the game doesn't come for free and those who want to revel into Gameloft's latest shooter game will have to pay $3.99.

The good news is that this is about to change very soon, as Gameloft has just announced it will waive the cost of the game beginning with the next update. All versions of the game will be available for free once the next update is released by Gameloft.

But this won't be the only change that Update 2 will bring to Modern Combat 5: Blackout. A list of improvements and new features has already been confirmed by Gameloft.

For example, there will be a new class included. The Support class gives teams the backup they need, as it will be able to drop Med Kits to heal allies.

The new class will allow teammates to respawn on the spot they died, as well as boost their own abilities and efficiency on the battlefield.

Also, an extra weapon tier for each class and a new Light Machine Gun category for Support class will be added. An all-new multiplayer mode called zone control will be added, in which players will have to capture and defend areas to rack up score superiority.

Support for controllers will be added too

Thanks to the upcoming update, players will be able to enjoy the game using a standard, formfitting or extended controller.

Last but not least, more character customization will be added to the game, such as weapon cameos, new masks and perks, new solo and squad logos, as well as new kill signs.

Once the new update is released, you will be able to download Modern Combat 5: Blackout for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game is fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
