Mining Industry Simulator, a game that allows users to manage a mining business developed by Crafty Studios and published by Ravenscourt, has arrived on Linux.

There are over 800 games on the Linux platform and the Mining Industry Simulator has got to be the weirdest of the bunch, although it might also go for the "most boring" genre. Who knows, maybe the mining business is something exciting, but at least the developers went through all the trouble of porting their title.

"Conclude delivery contracts, observe the global market, extend your company with over 50 vehicles, machines and buildings and make profits to establish your business empire. Be aware that you’ll need brains and organizational skills to work and produce as efficiently as possible. Pay attention to delivery times, maintenance and safety or else a production stop might be inevitable," is noted in the Steam synopsis.

This game doesn't have big system requirements, but that can be easily observable from the screenshots. Users will need at least Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32-bit), an AMD Athlon X2 4800+ (2 * 2500 Mhz) or Intel Core 2 Duo (2 * 2600 Mhz) processor, 4 GB or RAM, an Intel HD Graphics 4600, ATI Radeon HD 3850 (512 MB), or NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 (512 MB) video card, and 4GB of HDD space.
