The development team at Mojang and publisher Microsoft are announcing that a new skin pack is offered for indie hit Minecraft on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, introducing a wide range of skins that are linked to the rebels from the Star Wars universe, based on the new animated series that was created by Disney and Lucasfilm.

The official Xbox Wire announcement states, "Set five years before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Rebels tells the story of the Rebellion’s beginnings while the Empire spreads tyranny throughout the galaxy."

Gamers who want to bring more Star Wars elements to their Minecraft experience can do so for 2.99 dollars or 2.49 Euro.

The full list of character skins for the title includes: Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Zeb Orrelios, Sabine Wren, Chopper, Inquisitor, Agent Kallus, AT-DP Pilot, Stormtrooper  Commander. Stormtrooper Tagged, Cikatro Vizago, IGRM Droid Variant 1, IGRM Droid Variant 2, Lothal Farmer, Gotal, Minister Maketh Tua, Tseebo, RX-24, Ezra Bridger Imperial Cadet, Commandant Aresko, Azmorigan and Senator Gall Trayvis.

At the moment, Mojang is not willing to announce when the Star Wars Rebels skins will be offered for the versions of the title available on other platforms, but they will be probably introduced in a few weeks.

Since Microsoft has bought the company, fans have been very circumspect when exclusive content was offered and the developers probably do not want to face criticism if the Xbox One and the 360 get skins that no other devices ever get access to.

Minecraft continues to defy expectations

Minecraft is based around the simple idea that gamers can choose to play it anyway they wish, and since it was launched, the game world was used to create complex scenes and structures based on well-known fantasy and science fiction universes.

The introduction of more Star Wars skins basically guarantees that scenes from Rebels will be created by the fan community for the animated series.

Microsoft is at the moment in charge of the long-term development of Minecraft and the company has so far announced no plans for a sequel.

Mojang is continuing to deliver both content packs and regular patches for the game in order to improve fan experience.
