Microsoft confirms that it's going to release a brand new add-on for Minecraft on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms, in the form of the Festive Mash-Up Pack, which includes new skins, textures, and music for the popular game.

Ever since Microsoft bought Minecraft and developer Mojang earlier this year, not much else has been heard about the game, although new updates and patches have continued to appear on most platforms.

Now, Microsoft confirms on the Xbox Wire that the first new DLC pack for the game is set to appear tomorrow, December 10, in the form of the Festive Mash-Up Pack, which launches across the Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions of the game.

It includes a winter holiday-themed texture pack, a whopping 36 new skins for your character, and new music made by C418 to liven things up inside the popular game and provide a different atmosphere.

The add-on is currently confirmed only for Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Minecraft but it's possible that it might appear on the PS4, PS3, or PS Vita in the near future, probably before the winter holidays roll around.

Until then, you can enjoy a few screenshots from the Festive Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft below.
