14 DAY TRIAL // Miley Cyrus didn’t stay single for long after the cheating scandal involving her boyfriend of a few months Patrick Schwarzenegger: reports are picking up that she and former fiancé Liam Hemsworth are back together.
Patrick was photographed getting very touchy-feely with a beautiful brunette over Spring Break, and Miley was nowhere in sight. Rumor has it that his “cheating” got her so mad that she dumped him shortly after they were reunited.
She’s definitely not looking back on their failed romance, according to Us Weekly.
Miley and Liam are back on, probably
Sources close to the former Disney star tell the celebrity publication that the last few days have seen her spend more time with her ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth, which, if true, is a bit odd considering that their split wasn’t of the most amicable kind.
Even so, there was some love lost between if they are seeing each other again. It’s not serious yet, but it could become so, one spy claims.
“They’ve been hanging out in LA, but only a few people know. Dating could definitely happen,” says the insider. Apparently, this reconciliation, however temporary it turns out to be, was all Miley’s doing.
“Liam cut her off, but she would still text him,” a second insider says of what happened after they split and called off the wedding in September 2013. “He eventually started answering. They would check in on each other here and there. [H]e always talks about how fun she was to hang out with and their great chemistry.”
A rocky relationship
However, fans will remember, it was this “fun” side of Miley that is believed to have pushed Liam away. The two got engaged in 2012 and supposedly started making wedding plans immediately, but they were halted when Miley got into her transition phase, which was meant to put some distance between the adult version of her and Disney’s Hannah Montana.
That she cut her hair very short and started dressing more provocatively was not an issue for Liam, because he loved her too much. On the other hand, the fact that she started behaving as if she was an entirely different person, both in public and in private, was something he could not get over.
By the time he understood this was the real Miley, and not the one he’d met on the set of the romantic teen drama “The Last Song,” he was tired of the rocky relationship.
Songs that Miley is believed to have recorded at the time speak of feeling betrayed and cast aside, of being heartbroken and not accepted. So maybe there is some truth to these rumors that it was Liam who broke off the engagement because he didn’t like the young woman Miley had grown into.
