As celebrity lawsuits go, this one is perhaps the funniest: a singer named Kristina Karo is suing Mila Kunis over claims that they were best friends back in the Ukraine, up until the moment Mila stole one of Kristina’s pet chickens, named Doggie.

Kristina claims she’s so traumatized by this that she’s still receiving therapy, and she wants $5,000 (€4,653) in compensation. In a video with husband Ashton Kutcher, Mila has responded to the allegations - and announced plans to countersue, also for $5,000 (€4,653).

Kristina Karo and the pain of having lost Doggie, the pet chicken

In papers obtained by TMZ, Kristina Karo, who hails from Ukraine but resides full time in Los Angeles now, claims that, 25 years ago, she and Mila were best friends. They also went at the same school, so they were pretty much inseparable.

Karo’s family owned a chicken farm and she’d taken a great liking to one of the chickens, whom she’d adopted as she would have a pet dog, and even named Doggie. Then, one day, Doggie disappeared.

Mila eventually confessed to having stolen Doggie because she too loved it. She even told Kristina that she could choose another pet chicken from the dozens she had around at the farm. And that was that.

Recently, Karo claims in court documents, she moved to Los Angeles and all these painful memories came back to her, forcing her back into therapy to try to cope. Incidentally, she also has a new music video out.

She’s seeking $5,000 (€4,653) in damages for her therapy sessions and court fees. Did we mention she just happens to have a new music video out?

Mila Kunis’ hilarious response

Mila Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher don’t engage in celebrity gossip all that much, but when they do, it’s the best. The two shot a video response for Kristina Karo’s lawsuit, and posted it online. Karo reposted it on her Facebook, saying she’s beyond hurt.

Not only does Mila rebuff all of Karo’s claims, but she also shows why they’re false. As per her own account, Karo was 1 month old when she was best friends with Mila. At that age, not only was she able to carry conversations, but she even went to school.

The actress insists that she’s no chicken thief and that she’ll leave that to the court to decide. For her part, she too will be taking legal action, counter-suing Karo for forcing her to sit through her new music video.

Mila too will be asking for $5,000 (€4,653) in damages, because she still feels as if her eyes are “burning” for having watched the vid.
