Feral Interactive, the company in charge of porting Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to the Linux platform, is now teasing an impending release for the game.

The fact that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is being ported to Linux is not a secret. In fact, this piece of information was revealed a couple of months back. It took everyone by surprise, and the Linux community was thrilled to find out that another triple-A title is making its way to the platform.

In fact, this is the second game from publisher Warner Bros. that gets a Linux version. The first one was Dying Light, and it looks like Mad Max and Batman: Arkham Night are also getting Linux ports. This makes Warner Bros. one of the biggest supporters of the Linux platform along with others like 2K and Valve.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to launch in spring and spring is here

Feral Interactive’s teasing regarding Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor in Twitter is not really out of the blue. It's very likely that we'll get to see a Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition pretty soon and that would be a great opportunity to launch the game for Linux users as well.

"We dominated a couple of Uruks to infiltrate the Linux stronghold and gather intel; they say an invasion is coming..." reads the tweet from Feral Interactive. As you would expect, if you already bought the game on any other platform, you will be able to play it on Linux when it launches. As a matter of fact, a 50% discount is not being offered on Steam, but the promotion is set to end in just a few hours.

There are also quite a few DLCs released for the game, but only two of them are more substantial, Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord. A season pass is also available.
