Video game developer Monolith and publisher Warner Bros. are offering a launch trailer for their Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which is at the moment out on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The two-minute long video focuses on the story of the game, which will concentrate on Talion, a Ranger who was supposed to be defending the Black gate but was killed by the forces of Sauron.

He is brought back to life and is now aiming to get revenge on those who have hurt his family, using complex combat moves and an ability to explore the world of Mordor at will.

The title introduces a new and innovative Nemesis system, which allows gamers to take out various lieutenants of Sauron in order to create a relationship with those who take their place.

The publisher is also set to launch a range of new content for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor via DLC, including a mission that allows gamers to battle the Dark Lord himself, and those who want to get all the extra challenges and runes can get a Season Pass.

The title will also be offered on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in November.
