A brand new video has surfaced on the Internet, showcasing the new challenge mode in the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor action-adventure video game.

The video comes from this year's Nvidia Game 24, where developer Monolith provided a demo of the game running on PC, showing off the brand new mode and offering another glimpse of the exciting gameplay, combining spellcasting with Assassin's Creed-type action.

The new challenge mode has you go head to head with five of Mordor's champions, in a race against the clock. You have to take out the warchiefs within the time limit, with additional constraints such as a limit on the number of times you're allowed to die added in for an extra challenge for veteran players.

One of the most innovative features in the upcoming action-adventure video game is the Nemesis system, tracking your interactions with various important characters from the armies of Sauron and shaping your adventure based on your choices and their impact, offering you a different experience each time you enter the game's open world.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is coming out on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 30 in North America and October 3 in Europe, with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions scheduled to take off on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe.
