New features like Game DVR have been announced too

Microsoft has just announced gamers will be able to stream Xbox One exclusives to Windows 10 PC and tablets, but in order for that to work, a set of apps and services had to create the convergence between the devices.

With the new Xbox App, Microsoft hopes to enhance players’ gameplay experience even further no matter what devices they use as long as they run Windows 10.

The Xbox App will be available on PC or Xbox One, or both, and will provide users with nifty features like Games, Friends, Messages, Activity Feed, Achievements and many more.

The application will group together your Xbox and your Steam games in one place, so you can track them much easier.

You will be able to start streaming your Xbox One games on your Windows 10 PC by paring the two devices via Wi-Fi and clicking on the name of the game inside the Xbox App.

But there's another major feature that Microsoft announced today, and that's cross-platform multiplayer. With Xbox Live service, which comes integrated in Windows 10, gamers will be able to play on their PC against others on Xbox One consoles.

However, it remains to be seen how this will be implemented given that Xbox One gamers will probably not want to play against PC gamers given that they have better control over the targeting system.

Windows 10 comes with a new feature allowing players to record their gameplay sessions

The ability to record gameplay is currently done via third-party apps, but Microsoft announced a new feature called Game DVR, which will allow players to record their most epic gaming moment by simply pressing Windows+G.

The new feature will be available on Xbox Live, Steam or other services, as part of the Windows 10. Basically, you will be able to record, edit and share game clips with just about any social networks.

More details on the gaming aspect on Windows 10 have been promised in March at Game Developers Conference, so stay tuned for more on this one.
