Microsoft recently updated its Bing mobile homepage on both Android and iOS platforms. Next in line is the image search experience on these operating systems, which should provide a faster and easier way to search for images on iPhone and Android.

The most important improvements included in this update is the fact that users will now be able to search easier without having to type anything.

“The best news about Bing’s new image search? No typing required to discover more. Typing on mobile phones is hard. Typos are common and are a pain to fix on small screens.

This is particularly painful for image searchers, who tend to refine and expand their searches a lot. How do we make searching easier without typing? We’re happy to take on that challenge,” said Microsoft in a blog post.

You won't need to type to search for images

So, the first thing iPhone and Android users will notice is that their search terms are “bubbled” in the search box into intelligent groups. If you decide that you want to discover more, then you will be able to pivot your search around each entity.

How do you do that? By simply tapping on any of the bubbles to expand your search to new topics. In case you want to refine your search, then you will be pleased to know that Microsoft has included smart suggestion bubbles below the search box.

According to developers, users won't need to type anything, just tap to add. In case you introduced a wrong search term, you can just tap X next to each bubble in order to delete it.

Keep in mind that the new features that improved the search experience is available in Bing's English language markets in mobile browsers on Android and iPhone devices.

Microsoft is opened to feedback from users, so make sure you share your thoughts on the new Bing image search experience.
