Good news for Nokia Lumia 930 owners, as Microsoft has just announced it has kicked off the rollout of a new minor update for this particular Windows Phone handset.

According to Microsoft, the latest software release for Nokia Lumia 930 is Lumia Cyan (02061.00066.14353.31xxx). For those unfamiliar with this update, the version number indicates that the Redmond-based company is now pushing Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 to all Lumia 930 devices.

The rollout is staggered, which means not all Nokia Lumia 930 will receive the update at the same time. It’s also worth mentioning that the availability of the update depends on country and carrier.

Although Microsoft has confirmed that this is a minor update, here is what changes it includes, according to the official changelog published by the company:

"- Improved stability & performance; - Imaging enhancements; - Enriched display performance; - Cortana support added for UK and China; - Start screen folders, customizable snooze for alarm clock and other usability improvements."

Keep in mind that this update is available for all Nokia Lumia 930 units regardless if they have Preview for Developers installed or not.

Microsoft has also announced that this update will only be delivered to Nokia Lumia 930 devices, so don’t expect it to be available for the Lumia 1520 just yet.
