Microsoft has just announced the immediate availability for download of Office for Mac 2016 Preview, which includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft OneNote components.

The highly anticipated office suite will finally see a major update on the Mac OS X computer operating system when Microsoft officially announces the general availability of its Office for Mac 2016 application, as an upgrade to Office for Mac 2011.

Finally, Mac OS X users will have a powerful office suite on their systems, as the new and modern Office for Mac app boasts a beautiful and attractive look, letting them create professional-grade word documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.

OneNote has also been integrated and it probably won’t be available as a standalone app when the final version of Office for Mac 2016 is released. The Outlook components lets users send and receive emails from their Live.com accounts.

And now for some technical details, as the Office for Mac 2016 Preview will expire in 60 days from the moment you install it on your Mac. However, Microsoft promises to release regular updates until it official unveils the final version of Office for Mac 2016, sometime in fall 2015.

Mac OS X users can download Office for Mac 2016 for free right now from Microsoft. Please keep in mind that the application has been designed specifically for Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) or later. It can be installed alongside Office for Mac 2011.

At the moment, only the English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian Bokmal, Swedish, Polish, Dutch, Russian, and Japanese languages are supported.
