A slightly older concept to keep the Windows 10 hype

Microsoft won't be launching a flagship smartphone until later this year so Windows Phone fans will have to wait several more months.

The Redmond-based company has already announced Windows 10 for Phones, and until the new OS is ready, another flagship handset has little chance of being outed.

However, here is a slightly older Lumia smartphone concept that should keep Windows Phone fans' spirits high until Microsoft unveils its next flagship.

The so-called Lumia 935 only exists as concept courtesy to Ryan Smalley. The concept shows both the smartphone's design and UI, which is that of Windows 10, the creator says.

The main highlight of the Lumia 935 concept is the powerful 31-megapixel PureView camera on the back, which features OIS (optical image stabilization) and “amazing” high-resolution zoom.

One of the many benefits of these concepts is that you can fit high-end specs into very slim bodies, otherwise we're not sure if such a big module camera would be possible to include in a 6.9mm thin chassis.

Another feature that would make the Lumia 935 Microsoft's flagship smartphone is the 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display. The bezels are very thin and the dual texture polycarbonate casing should increase one's grip over the phone.

Accessories like camera grip, tripod and exchangeable covers are included too

In the front, there's an impressive 8-megapixel photo snapper with wide-angle. The main camera on the back would also feature Carl Zeiss lens, and probably Xenon flash.

Lumia 935 would also come with a few accessories like a camera grip that would protect the phone from accidental drops, but should also allow users to take pictures in a convenient manner. The camera grip doubles as a battery charger as well, so you can extend the battery life of the Lumia 935.

There's also a DC-X tripod that can be used to take pictures, but the Lumia 935 needs to be encased in the camera grip so you can attach this tripod.

The dual texture back case is removable, so you can make the Lumia 935 look the way you want to. No word on the hardware inside, but we imagine it should include one of the most powerful chipsets on the market.
