Microsoft's Delve app for Office 365 users was launched last year, but people could only take advantage of its features on desktops.

The good news is beginning today, as those who would like to use Delve on their mobile phones will be able to do so thanks to the newly released Android and iOS applications.

Office Delve is now available for both major mobile platforms for free, but in order to benefit from it, their organization needs to use Office 365 and Delve.

With Delve, users will be able to see what their colleagues and friends are working on across Office 365. Based on whom they work with and how they work together, the application is capable of suggesting documents that are most relevant.

The application allows users to discover new info and find documents through other people. In addition, they can also get back to documents they are working on while on the move.

Security features makes sure your documents are private unless shared

Only content that has been shared is viewable in Office Delve. This assures that all documents are private unless you want some of your friends to see their content.

According to Microsoft, Office Delve provides users with notifications about updates to files they are actively working on at any given time. They can even send notifications to Android Wear devices.

The mobile app is very easy to use and intuitive and allow users to catch up on what's new and relevant with a single swipe. Documents are shown and filtered by “Works on” and “Works with” categories.

If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download Office Delve for Android and iOS for free via Google Play store and App Store, respectively.

Keep in mind that Office Delve application is only compatible with devices powered by Android 4.1 or iOS 8.0 and later.
