14 DAY TRIAL // Good news for Lumia owners as Microsoft has just announced the immediate availability of a new pair of headphones that go with these Windows Phone handsets. They are called Hoop and they're made by a Swedish company called Coloud.
The Hoop by Coloud headphones are now available for purchase in three color options: black, green and orange. They can be had for only €29, which makes them a good deal even for affordable Lumia smartphones like Lumia 520, Lumia 535 and Lumia 630.
According to Microsoft, the Hoop headphones come with adjustable support loop which should help users keep earpiece from slipping out their ears. They also feature a clip on the cable, so they can be attached on clothes.
These headphones have been designed by Microsoft and weigh in at 20.5g. The cable's length is 120 cm. Hoop by Coloud earphones are dust, splash and sweat protected, and come with reflective cable. The Hoop headphones have a few buttons on the cable, such as the answer/end key and the volume keys.
New earphones aimed at active people
In order to raise awareness for its newly launched Hoop headphones, Microsoft tested them at the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cardiff, Wales.
Here is what famous British sprinter Christian Malcom had to say about these headphones: “I’ve got small ears and find that standard earphones slip out quite easily. Being a sprinter, that’s the last thing you want.
“The more I used these, the more I refined the loop length to fit my ear shape. Even when coming out of the blocks, they were still nice and snug. They fitted really well.”
The Hoop by Coloud headphones seem to be meant for active people, but they may be used by others as well. It's just that Microsoft wants to advertise them as the perfect accessory for those who like jogging.
