The perfect ratio between specs and price is one of the ways through which Micromax managed to lure in so many customers in India, one of the largest emerging markets in the world.
Another way of selling so many smartphones in India is to launch as many handsets as possible that can cover all niches. The newest device launched by Micromax is Canvas Juice 2, which is now exclusively available through eBay India.
Micromax Canvas Juice 2 is selling for only Rs 9,100 outright, which is about $145 or €135. That's a very low price considering what the phone has to offer in terms of specs.
First of all, the smartphone ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box, which isn't something common for handsets so cheap.
2GB of RAM and 8-megapixel rear-facing camera
On the inside, the Canvas Juice 2 is equipped with 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Although the amount of storage is low, users will be able to further expand memory up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
Micromax's latest smartphone sports a 5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display, but also a huge 3,000 mAh battery which should provide at least 2 days of medium usage for Canvas Juice 2 owners.
On the back, the handset is packed with an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.
Keep in mind that Micromax has yet to officially introduce the Canvas Juice 2 in India, but you can order it now via eBay India. Hopefully, the suggested retail price won't be higher than the one from eBay India.
