14 DAY TRIAL // Most of the talk on the upcoming movie “Fifty Shades of Grey” has been focused on Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson and / or their on-camera chemistry, which might lack entirely, based on some of the reports making the rounds online.
Some fuss was also made around the fact that the movie, which is coming out on Valentine’s Day 2015, would mark the big screen debut of Rita Ora, who’s cast as Christian’s sister. We’re finally getting our first look at her in character.
Four new character posters have been released online, on the Fifty Shades of Grey Twitter page, including for Anastasia’s best friend Kate, Rita Ora’s Mia, and Christian’s adoptive parents, Grace and Carrick.
You will find them all right below, above the second official trailer for the film, which shows a bit more interaction between the leads Dornan and Johnson.
As for Rita as Mia, I’m not really impressed but will hold off judgment until I see her on film. Rumor has it that she wasn’t exactly up to par to the challenge on set and would forget her lines so often she had to be fitted with an in-ear piece to have them whispered to her when the director yelled “action!”
On the other hand, Hollywood big shot Harvey Weinstein recently went on the record saying Rita was a “breathtaking actress” and his biggest find this year, promising he’d do whatever in his power to support her in her acting efforts, if she wished to continue in this vein. So maybe her Mia will be the big surprise of “Fifty Shades.”
