The development team at EA Sports is announcing that it has run a simulation of the upcoming Super Bowl XLIX game using the engine of Madden NFL 15 and that the results show that the New England Patriots will win the trophy after defeating the Seattle Seahawks 28 to 24.

The studio says that the Patriots were the first to score, via a 21-yard touchdown pass which involved Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski, with the Seahawks using a field goal to get back into the game.

The official announcement from EA Sports adds, "New England and Seattle traded TDs in the period, but as the Patriots attempted their final drive before the half the Seahawks’ vaunted secondary struck, with Earl Thomas III intercepting a pass intended for Gronkowski and returning it 58 yards for a touchdown. With that pick the Seahawks took the lead into halftime, 17-14."

Marshawn Lynch then scored for Seattle and Tom Brady once again stepped up to move the ball to Rob Gronkowski and a touchdown was created.

In the fourth battle, the two teams adopted a defensive strategy, and in the final seconds, the QB from the Seahawks managed to find Julian Edelman and the final score of the Super Bowl XLIX was created.

Tom Brady won the Most Valuable Player award and EA Sports adds, "Julian Edelman led all receivers with 8 catches for 106 yards, while Marshawn Lynch proved to be unstoppable on the ground with 118 yards and 2 touchdowns."

Madden NFL 15 is offered for a special price at the moment

Gamers who are interested in seeing if they can recreate the result that emerged from the EA Sports simulation or who want to lead their own team to Super Bowl triumph can get Madden NFL 15 for a special price until February 2 on all platforms.

At the same time, they will also get access to 10 special Madden Ultimate Team packs and to exclusive versions of some players.

More Super Bowl XLIX content might be added to the American football sim later in the week, and during the weekend gamers will be able to see how accurate the simulation was when it predicted the final result.
