Only three days after releasing the sixth Beta version of the upcoming Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite operating system, Apple seeded today yet another Public Beta version, tagged 14D130a. This is the seventh Beta of Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite, which should be officially released in the coming days.

When we wrote the article about Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite Public Beta 6, we have stated that it’s most probably the last Beta release. Apparently, we were wrong again, as Apple surprised us all today, April 2, with a new Beta version of the forthcoming major update of Yosemite.

Here’s how to update to the new Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite Beta

Those of you who already have the Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite Beta operating system installed on your Mac computers can easily update to the new Public Beta version (14D130a) directly from the App Store. Open the application, go to the “Updates” tab and wait for the new Beta to appear in the list of updates.

Click the “Update” button in front of it to start the update process. You will be required to agree to the license agreement, and you must press the “Download and Restart” button to start the update process, which might take a while (depending on your Internet connection). Your Mac computer will be automatically restarted for the update process to be applied.

What’s new in Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite

We’ve reported in our previous articles what’s new in the Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite, but we will mention the prominent features again. Photos for Mac will be your new photos and videos management app, which will stay in sync with your other devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, iMac, MacBook, etc.), as a replacement for the iPhoto and Apertures applications. Other changes include a redesigned Emoji picker, which will be available to all applications system-wide, as well as support for Google's two-step authentication system.
