14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese-owned Alcatel has a consistent presence at Mobile World Congress 2015 with many smartphones and tablets announced that will go on sale in the coming weeks.
Beside the PIXI 3 smartphone announced a few days ago, Alcatel also launched several affordable Android tablets that haven't been priced yet. Also, we're still to find out when exactly they will go on sale.
Three PIXI 3 tablets with 7-inch displays and one featuring an 8-inch display have been recently unveiled by Alcatel. The three 7-inch tablets have different specs and will certainly be priced different as well.
The PIXI 3 Wi-Fi with 7-inch display (1024 x 600 pixels) features a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion.
It also packs a 2-megapixel rear-camera, a secondary VGA camera in the front and a 2820 mAh battery. The tablet is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
Only one PIXI 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop tablet will be launched
Next in line is another 7-inch PIXI 3 tablet that comes with 3G connectivity, but a lower 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek processor. It packs the same 2-megapixel camera in the back and VGA front-facing camera.
Also it features 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion, 2820 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
The last 7-inch PIXI 3 slate comes with 4G LTE support, a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot.
This is the only tablet powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, but it features the same 2-megapixel and VGA dual cameras for back and front.
Last but not least, PIXI 3 with 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) display features 3G support, 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory and microSD card slot.
The tablet features 2-megapixel and VGA front-facing camera, as well as 3240 mAh battery. PIXI 3 (8) 3G is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
