Video game publisher Sony announces that it plans to deliver MLB15 The Show on the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation Vita handheld, and the PS3 on March 31 of next year, giving fans of baseball a chance to use their favorite players and teams and re-write history based on their own performance.

The announcement explains that gamers will be able to enjoy upgraded visuals, which are designed to take advantage of the processing power of the new device, and some new gameplay features.

Major League and Minor League Baseball have both offered the company a chance to use licensed content for teams and players.

The team states, “It’s early yet; we’ve got a lot of work to do, and so much more we’re excited to show you.”

Sony aims to create immersion with more equipment, all of it based on real world use, and gamers will see a variety of bats, gloves and more re-created in MLB15 The Show.

Year-to-year saves are also introduced and allow those who bought last year’s version of the series to continue their careers.

A new set of universal rewards is introduced and gamers can earn them by just playing MLB15 The Show in order to then redeem them to pick up equipment, extra content and baseball cards.
