Microsoft's Skype application for BlackBerry 10 has been recently updated with much needed new features and improvements. Although BlackBerry is probably not among the priority development platforms for Microsoft, it's good to see that Skype is getting updated from time to time.

Even though Skype is an Android application and is not native to BlackBerry 10, there are some users that prefer Microsoft's app over other instant messengers.

The latest version comes with a much needed feature that allows users to see when someone is typing. The new typing indicator is available with the latest version of Skype for BlackBerry 10.

The official changelog mentions that the avatar picture of each user now follows you as you scroll to read longer messages. Furthermore, developers also confirm that they have added file type icons for shared office documents.

Last but not least, Skype for BlackBerry 10 users will now be able to send feedback directly from the application. Simply check under the “Settings” tab and you will find a new option that will allow you to send your feedback from within Skype.

You can now download Skype for BlackBerry for free via BlackBerry World. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by BlackBerry 10 and up.
