We’ve been hearing whispers about the BlackBerry Venice, a smartphone that could mark the first Android device for the company, for a few months now. The phone (slider) has leaked in images several times, giving us an idea of what to expect.

Well, today we bring you a fresh batch of photos having the BlackBerry Venice at its center, and this time they are pretty clear, showing the real thing being handled (as caught at Crackberry).

This new glimpse into what BlackBerry Venice will turn out to be reveals a few more extra details, including the fact that the SIM and microSD slots are placed atop the phone and not on the side.

Specs of the phone have also made their way online to us, so the device is expected to make a debut with a 5.4-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). On the inside, the slider is rumored to come equipped with a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor in combination with 3GB of RAM.

BlackBerry Venice has been confirmed to arrive with a main 18MP photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. We also know that the handset will take advantage of several Microsoft apps and services, including Skype and Bing.

We should expect the BlackBerry Venice to launch on the market sometime in November, but it might be unveiled earlier. Maybe at the IFA 2015 conference in Berlin.
