Great news for Nokia Lumia 630 owners who purchased their phones via Cricket Wireless' official retail channels, as the carrier has just announced that the Lumia Denim update is now available for download.

Microsoft rolled out Lumia Denim for many of its smartphones in the last year or so, but Cricket Wireless seems to have been late to the party.

But as the saying goes, better late than never, especially considering that Lumia Denim is required in order to upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile.

Nokia Lumia 630 has yet to be confirmed for the upgrade, but there's a high chance that Microsoft will offer a Windows 10 Mobile update for this particular smartphone as well.

As NPU points out, Lumia Denim brings many new features and improvements to the Nokia Lumia 630, including updates to Lumia Storyteller and Lumia Selfie apps.

Lumia Denim also includes additional improvements to stability, battery performance, push notifications, Wi-Fi connectivity, national roaming, VPN support, Apps Corner, and more.

After applying the update, Nokia Lumia 630 owners will be able to organize and further personalize their start screen much more easily.

The ability to group apps into a folder on the start screen will be added too, as well as the option to rename a folder and rearrange tiles inside the folder for more customization.

Since the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, don't be alarmed if it doesn't show on your smartphone right away.
