Icon support has been implemented as well

One of the best camera apps for Windows Phone devices, Lumia Camera has just received a small update that brings a few new features.

Keep in mind though that this update is only for non-Lumia devices, the version of the application that hasn't been updated for quite a while.

It might be confusing for some, but Microsoft has no less than three camera applications in Windows Phone Store: Lumia Camera, Lumia Camera Classic, and Lumia Camera 5.0 for Denim.

There's also a beta version of the Lumia Camera application, which is available as a separate download as well.

This version of Lumia Camera app seems to be updated more often, which makes sense since developers are testing new features before releasing them to the general public.

Anyway, if you own a non-Lumia smartphone, then make sure you download the correct application for your Windows Phone devices.

The latest update brings transparent tile to the Lumia Camera application. Also, developers confirmed they have implemented icon support into the app.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Lumia Camera for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. It should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
