Android M will be making its way out this fall

You might remember that, after Google introduced Android M at its I/O 2015 conference in late May, HTC’s Jeff Gordon quickly announced that the One M9 and One M9+ would be getting the update.

He didn’t provide an exact time frame, nor did he mention anything about the One M8, but as it turns out, HTC’s Mo Versi did it in a tweet that just got overlooked.

If you’re a Twitter user, you probably know that the website hides replies from a person’s followers unless they’re directly involved in the conversation or look manually for those tweets. So Mo Versi’s tweet got lost in the wide world of the internet.

Basically, Versi confirmed that the HTC One M8 would also get the next Android M update, which is not such a big shocker given the fact that the device is not that old after all. Naturally, the new build will probably hit the One M8 after the One M9 and One M9+ receive their treatment.

As Gordon, Versi didn’t provide us with an exact time line for when that is supposed to happen. First of all, we need to see Google’s Nexus lineup get the Android M update and then the rest of the flagships from other companies will follow.
