Fitbit, the application that allows users to track their all-day activity, workouts and health, has just received an important update that brings new features and improvements into the mix.

First of all, there's a new tool called Exercise Sharing, which is available on all three major platforms: Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

Exercise Sharing allows Fitbit users to tell their friends and followers about their work-out on any social network they are using on their smartphones, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as via text or email.

The Windows Phone version got a few more new features and improvements with the latest update, such as Friend Finder, which allows users to find friends more easily thanks to the updated friend finder tab view.

Windows Phone users will be able to capture important moments and inspire their friends with the new Exercise Photo Sharing. Each photo will be overlaid with your own stats from the workout you want to share, but you can also scale and crop the photos before sharing them.

Also, there are some new activity graph updates that will allow Fitbit users to see their goal line on the activity graphs. Last but not least, developers confirmed they have fixed a variety of issues reported in the previous version of the application.

You can now download Fitbit for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1.
