InFocus is a US-based mobile company focused on low- and mid-range Android smartphones. Since the smartphone market in the United States is very competitive, InFocus has decided that its products might be very popular in emerging markets like India.

The first smartphone launched by the US company in India is InFocus M2, and it's an affordable dual-SIM handset powered by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with InLife UI on top.

The phone's specs sheet is decent enough for its price tag. Speaking of which, InFocus M2 will be available for purchase for only Rs 4,999, which is about $80 or €76 outright. Customers in India will be able to grant this one exclusively through major retailer Snapdeal.

The rest of the M2's specs include a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The smartphone also sports a rather unusual 4.2-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display that supports 355ppi (pixel per inch).

On the back, there's an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary impressive 8-megapixel camera for video calls and great selfies.

As mentioned earlier, the smartphone offers dual-SIM support, but also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with AGPS connectivity options. InFocus M2 is powered by a 2010 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
