Since the iPhone 6 came out, we've been bringing you a few pretty accusative copy cats, but most of them are hailing from China.
Actually, this is what a lot of Chinese device manufacturers are best known for, copying Apple. Well, today’s replicator comes from another land.
The brand-new Texet iX-maxi rolls out of Asia and is a pretty perfect iPhone 6 clone, if we can say so (as seen at Hi-Tech Mail). For starters, it’s actually pretty similar in size to the new iPhone. The iX-maxi’s measurements are 138 x 67 x 7 mm while the iPhone’s are 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm.
The Russian phone breaks the scales at 127g, thus being a tad lighter than the iPhone which weighs 129g. Well, the handset might resemble the iPhone 6 from the outside, but on the inside things couldn't be farther from the real deal.
The Texet has a 4.7-inch LCD display boasting a ridiculous 540 x 960 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz fitted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
In the photography department, we have a protruding 8MP camera on the back (wink-wink) and a 2MP shooter up in front.
Everything onboard is kept alive by a pretty ridiculous 1,600 mAh battery. So as you can see, the Texet iX-maxi is mostly about looks not brains.
Those interested will be able to pick it up for a relatively decent price tag of $174 / €153.
