The unexpectedly good sales for Samsung Z1 in India and Bangladesh probably contributed to the quick release of Tizen SDK 2.3, which brings lots of new features and improvements.

Even if the sale did not have anything to do with it, Tizen developers will be pleased to know that the latest SDK released by Samsung recently brings the Native UI Builder along with IDE (Integrated Development Environment).

The Native UI Builder comes with Project Template, Properties and Navigation Views, as well as Outline and Resource Views. Emulator, Web simulator, and Web UI Builder have been added too.

Also, the qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution is now supported. With the newly changed Native IDE, developers will be able to develop a UI project and service or share library project as a package.

Tizen OS developers who want to know more about the latest SDK 2.3 Rev.2 may want to check out the official changelog on Tizen devs website.

Since Tizen smartphones are coming to more countries this year, Samsung is likely to continue to improve the tools developers need to created apps and games for the platform.

However, only time will tell whether or not Samsung’s bet on Tizen OS will reward the company in the not-so-distant future.
