The Samsung Galaxy Edge isn't expensive enough for you? The unit sells for around $800 / €705 outright, which isn't something everyone can easily squeeze in their budget.

Well, if you’re sitting on a gold mine, like Smaug the dragon from The Hobbit was, and you still crave the Samsung Galaxy Edge in your life, you now have a worthy alternative.

Check out this special Galaxy Edge variant that has a back equipped with no more no less than 1800 Swarovski crystals.

Samsung and Swarovski are aiming to be classy here so they have replicated Albrecht Dürer’s Playing Hands drawing using the fancy diamonds, but frankly the result looks quite kitsch.

The new Galaxy Edge goes to join other gadgets that have received the same beautification treatment, under the Crystalize Your Design initiative.

Crystalize Your Design is the place to go to for rich and famous people who like to put Swarovski crystals on their pieces of gadgetry including iMacs, laptops, tablets and headphones.

For the time being, the shiny beast has not been given an official price, but we can only guess it is going to be quite huge, to say the least.

Samsung is gearing up to release the dual-edged Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in a few, which will no doubt receive the Swarovski treatment soon, so you might want to wait it out to make this premium purchase.
