Samsung confirmed Android 5.0 Lollipop for many smartphones, including the Galaxy S5 mini, but the rollout hasn't yet begun for some of them.

The Galaxy S5 mini owners are still waiting for Lollipop to arrive on their smartphones, and judging by the latest information it will still have to wait a while longer.

GSMArena reports Samsung France recently confirmed the Galaxy S5 mini would receive Android 5.0 Lollipop sometime in Q2 2015.

Since France is just another market for Samsung, it's unclear where Lollipop for Galaxy S5 mini will land first. Since there's still at least one month until Q2, we are confident that more details on the update will emerge in the coming weeks.

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini has been officially released on the market last year in July and is still powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

Android 5.0 Lollipop may not be the only major software update Galaxy S5 mini qualifies for, but that may also depend on Samsung's availability to deliver upgrades for some of its older smartphones.

We'll be keeping an eye out for any additional details on Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
