Sony’s new tablet is a pretty impressive piece of gadgetry

Even if Sony didn’t launch any flagship smartphones at MWC 2015 in Barcelona, the company did roll out a new interesting tablet.

Actually, the device is the first to be announced with a Snapdragon 810 processor on the inside, but Sony also claims that it’s the lightest you can hope to find right now (the 10-incher weighs only 389 g / 0.85 lbs).

To show everybody that the tablet is light as a feather, Sony tied it up to a bunch of balloons and released it to float around the beautiful city of Barcelona.

And as you can see in the video embedded below, the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet doesn’t have any problem flying across the sky.

However, we’re guessing that the Apple iPad Air 2 wouldn’t have had a problem doing the same, despite the fact that it’s a tad heavier, coming in at 437 g / 0.96 inches.

Going back to the Xperia Z4 Tablet, the slate is also dust- and water-resistant (with IP68 certification) and offers advanced 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution.

Sony has also thrown in an 8.1MP/5MP camera combo (just like in the case of the previous Z3 Tablet Compact), 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
