14 DAY TRIAL // Nokia Lumia 1020 owners in Canada and United States have been waiting for quite a long time to receive the promised Lumia Denim update.
Ironically, most of other Lumia smartphones in North America have already received the Lumia Denim update, but one of the few that would take advantage of most of the features in the new build hasn't got it yet.
But Lumia 1020 owners in North America will be pleased to know that Microsoft has just confirmed that Lumia Denim is now available for the variant sold in the country.
The good news is that users in Canada who own the Lumia 1020 should now be able to download Lumia Denim as well. Both Rogers and Telus operators are currently rolling out the update.
While Lumia 1020 country variant in the US and Canada are now receiving the Lumia Denim update, the AT&T version is nowhere to be seen yet.
Microsoft has recently confirmed that some Lumia smartphones will also receive the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 at some point, but the Lumia 1020 is not among the devices mentioned by the Redmond-based company.
The only smartphones that come with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 right out of the box are Lumia 640 and 640 XL, which aren't available in North America yet.
