Only some bug fixes and performance improvements

Microsoft has just released a new version of OneDrive for Windows Phone in the Store, but the latest iteration doesn't bring any new features into the mix.

The latest update for OneDrive is about under-the-hood changes, which are meant to improve users’ overall experience. New version 4.9.0.0 that's been released in Windows Phone Store brings “bug fixes and performance improvements.”

This means that we should expect OneDrive to be a little bit faster on Windows Phone handsets and closer to a bug-free experience. No other changes have been mentioned in the changelog aside from the ones listed earlier.

Those who own a OneDrive for Business account should keep in mind that their organization needs to have a qualifying SharePoint Online or Office 365 business subscription plan. You won't be able to sign in with an account from an on-premises directory.

If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download OneDrive for Windows Phone 4.9.0.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up.

We expect more updates with new features and improvements to be released for OneDrive users, so stay tuned for more info on this one.
